Target Audience:
Surgeons with a special interest in the treatment of breast disease.
Objectives:
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Review data on pre-pectoral and direct to implant based reconstruction along with implications of PMRT on breast reconstruction.
  • Discuss NSM neurotization including available data and implement expectation setting for patients, including sensation sparing versus restoring.
  • Propose selection criteria for NSM candidacy, specifically who is not an appropriate candidate.
Description:
This webinar is for breast surgeons, plastic surgeons and their teams with a focus on breast reconstruction advances. Topics covered will include contemporary data on pre-pectoral implant reconstruction, PMRT and breast reconstruction, nerve grafting following NSM and patient expectations, as well as a candid discussion on when NSM may not be the right approach. Presentation and discussion includes breast surgeons and plastic surgeons.
