ABS Credit Reporting
Notice: For American Board of Surgery Diplomates Only
The American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) have collaborated to allow for electronic reporting of American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) learner completion data to the ABS, simplifying the process for ABS Diplomates. For those who sign up to enroll, ASBrS will report learner completion data to ABS once a month. View Program List
Before You Sign Up...
- Confirm You Can Use Autoreporting: ASBrS has permission to report CME and self-assessment credits to ABS only. We do not have permission to report credits to the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
- Information Must Match: ASBrS cannot report your credits to ABS if the required profile information is missing or does not match (First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth) or if your diplomate status does not allow credit reporting. Go to the American Board of Surgery website to confirm your ABS diplomate status and other details.
- CME Transfers Do Not Happen Immediately: CME reporting can take anywhere from 2–5 business days before the transfer is completed and the CME is reflected in your ABS diplomate profile. We encourage you to sign up well in advance of December 31 to avoid any potential reporting delays at the end of the year.
