This self-paced educational series will provide a general overview of oncoplastic breast conserving surgery. The series will review common barriers, definitions, basic anatomy, surgical techniques, management of complications, and tips to help start an oncoplastic practice. These topics were chosen specifically to help improve surgeon awareness, improve provider knowledge, and encourage interest in furthering their education about oncoplastic surgery and how to implement oncoplastic surgery in their practice thereby improving provider competency while improving and expanding treatment options for patients with breast cancer.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for surgeons with a special interest in the treatment of breast disease.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define oncoplastic surgery
- Address common misconceptions and myths about oncoplastic surgery
- Describe breast anatomy
- Explain basic concepts in oncoplastic surgery (hidden incision/cavity closure/skin excision)
- Identify and differentiate techniques in oncoplastic surgery (mastopexy/mammoplasty)
- Evaluate more complex options in oncoplastic surgery
- Apply oncoplastic surgery principles into surgical practice.

The American Society of Breast Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
