Course Description:
In this course, we will discuss the current multi-disciplinary management recommendations for DCIS as well as cutting edge technologies and ongoing clinical trials. Our panel of experts will review all facets of the disease and its treatment options to give the audience a well-rounded, comprehensive understanding of DCIS.
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the epidemiology of DCIS
- Understand the importance of tumor biology and molecular testing in DCIS
- Describe the indications for adjuvant radiation and endocrine therapy in DCIS
- Be able to explain the current surveillance trials and future treatment strategies for DCIS, including their clinical implications
