Fellows Course 2024

Course Description:
This program, which is being offered free of charge, is designed for breast surgery fellows participating in a year-long multidisciplinary breast fellowship program, as well as residents entering or interested in participating in a breast fellowship. The lectures will provide supplemental information on a number of relevant topics for those about to begin practice, including genetics, genomics, neoadjuvant therapies, clinical trials, adjuvant therapies, and salary negotiation information. No CME will be offered.
Criteria for Participation
The Fellows Course is a special supplemental course designed to address the unique needs of current and prospective breast fellows. Participation in the program is reserved for fellows participating in a year-long multidisciplinary breast surgery fellowship program and residents entering or interested in a breast fellowship. Fellows who are registered for the annual meeting may attend this program free of charge. However, attendees must also pre-register for the Fellows Course. All nonmember fellows or residents must provide a letter from their program director verifying their status to register for the Fellows Course 2024 and must email registration@breastsurgeons.org to register and attach documentation.
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Provide relevant information to graduating breast fellows who are about to begin practice and residents entering a fellowship program.
- Summarize and strengthen key concepts obtained during fellowship with regard to diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and high risk patients.
- Outline available clinical trials.
