Oncoplastic CME Opportunities

CME Requirements

A minimum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ in oncoplastic surgery is required for certification. Of these credits, the applicant must document successful completion of at least 2 Oncoplastic Surgery courses. Each course must include a didactic portion (in-person or virtual) as well as an in-person “hands-on” portion demonstrating oncoplastic surgical procedures. Applicants must upload their course certificates or the CME attestations provided to participants. Additional details:

  • At least 1 course must be an ASBrS Oncoplastic Surgery course.
  • The full requirement can be met by attending 2 ASBrS Beginner Oncoplastics courses or 1 beginner and 1 intermediate ASBrS Oncoplastics course.
  • Applicants may claim credit for courses in which he or she has participated as a faculty member.

ASBrS CME Opportunities

ASBrS offers several options for earning the required CME for Oncoplastic Certification (Level 1). The American Society of Breast Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Webinars

Selected Readings in Breast Surgery Program

Participants are eligible to earn a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit™ per activity in the Society's Selected Readings in Breast Surgery program. Articles must include Oncoplastic Surgery content to apply credit toward certification and recertification.
